Think Before You Post

Now more than ever the job market is challenging. Graduation time is almost upon us, the economy…well I will leave it at that. Today I was discussing Facebook. It brought up a point I felt would be useful to share with those who are actively searching for a job, “Think before you post!” Ever Google yourself? Nowadays its’ highly likely your potential employer is Googling you. They could easily find your Myspace profile with a profile image of you doing a Keg Stand and a tagline saying “Beer for Life”. My advice?

It maybe your personal profile, but nothing is personal on the World Wide Web and with the competition today, leave nothing that could get in the way of your career.

Other suggestion to help boast your career potential, join Linkedin, design:related and start networking. If you are not ready for the job route, go back to school beef up your education until the economy gets back on it’s feet.

Either way good luck!
